Where does the name come from?

Spyway is based in the small seaside town of Swanage in the heart of the beautiful Dorset Countryside. The name Spyway comes from the old Smugglers' Path that led from the sea at Dancing Ledge across Spyway Hill where a lookout would be stationed to keep a watch out for the revenue officers.
